Hamsters bedding should have fresh wood shavings at the bottom of the Hamster cage. Toys provided to this pet along with proper bedding will be a blessing for this pet and hamster will definitely love you for that. 

It is very necessary to clean the cage as and when required, but one thing should be remembered that a touch of old bedding should be left so as to give this pet the impression of home. It is advisable to clean the cage along the bedding by replacing the solid bedding where necessary. One can say that Carefresh and Megazorb are excellent examples of safe bedding. The material with which the Hamster bedding is made should never be of fluffy cotton cloth or material as it is very dangerous for Hamster.
